We are overcoming the line of the surf on the boat and going from our hotel Bali Santi Bungalows along the coast to the East.
There is small coral islet that grew on the surface of an underwater volcanic hill.
The waves knocked the small grotto at the base of the limestone cliff, there was the little whitetip shark who slept inside it. And then our guide asked us to turn our lights off, and we saw the flickering lights flash in complete darkness - they were "lightfish", a kind of bioluminescent fish. I just remembered the stars of beetles - fireflies in the jungle of Borneo at night..
Surf pushes waves inrto the grotto and fountains go through a hole in roof to the surface with each blow of the waves. These impacts we felt physically, the sound is powerful and 'hearts skip a beat'..
And then we walked here and there under the water along the rather shallow volcanic wall of the island and filmed the corals and marine life.. .
